Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I know that I am a little late in this wish but I left my camera at Grandma and Grandpa's and it took me a few days to get it back. Easter also seemed to sneak up this year. Even though I knew it was early, it still seemed to come way before it should have. I never even got all my decorations out. David was glad and said "this is good, now I won't have to put them away." As if he really puts them away. The festivities started on Saturday and we had a really fun egg hunt and brunch at our neighbors. The children really have a great time and it is good for David and I to try to be social and meet people. This is definitely not a strong suit for us. Sunday was 9:00a.m. church so we didn't do baskets until after church. When we got home I was feeling a bit grumpy, (Sunday is usually the hardest day of the week for me and I need to try and make it a day that I look more forward to. What are some of the things you guys do to make your Sundays special? I could really use some good suggestions.) We snapped a few pictures and then the boys hunted for their baskets. We had a low key afternoon and then went to Grandma and Grandpa's for Easter dinner. The kids love to get together with their cousins and it is generally madness. I always loved Easter as a kid. We would go to the egg hunt at Happy Hallow and we always had a new dress to wear to church. Dressing up always made the day really special. We always hunted for our baskets and Easter candy is still my favorite. (I love the Cadbury mini eggs.) On Easter I am especially thankful for the Savior and the resurrection, I know that it is a gift to all humankind and because of it our families can be eternal. This knowledge gives me great comfort in my life, not only because I love my family and want to be with them but because I want to be able to raise Katie and Ellie and I want my kids to know their sisters. Heavenly Father's plan makes it possible.

I love Lucy!

Lucy is a delightful baby and in these pictures she is almost 8 months old. (The pictures were taken by my girlfriend Erin and are as always, FANTASTIC!) I feel so blessed to have this darling baby girl. The whole family adores her. When the boys wake up the first thing they want to do is go in and get Lucy. Lucy is generally a very happy baby and she loves her mama. She has got the most beautiful blue eyes. She loves to suck her thumb. She has the most adorable giggle and I can really get her going if I gnaw on her chin. She just started to scoot around and its time to hide the cords and pull out the stair gates. The time is definitely going too fast. If I could I would totally slow down the first year of a baby's life. Have I told anyone that I love babies?!

St. George

Last weekend we headed south to St. George for some much needed sunshine. The weather was beautiful, low 70's and sunny. (I definitely have spring fever.) We had a relaxing, fun weekend. In fact, I told David that I wished I could stay there. (I'm back to school getting in the way of my life, oh well...) The boys played outside, hooray! Soccer, golf, croquet, bikes and the park. We also went on a little hike for the first time. It was Jenny's trail in Snow Canyon and was our first family hike. The boys really loved it. When we finished the hike Truman dumped red sand out of his shoes all over the car. David commented that in a few years our boys will be at a really fun age to start enjoying all that outdoor stuff. Right now it is fun watching them discover and learn new things. We had a great time!

Happy Birthday Truman!

I can't believe my little boy is five years old today! Happy Birthday Truey! He has had quite the three day celebration. Sunday-a family party. He was so excited at church that I'm sure I owe several people an apology for bringing such a hyper child. We had a great dinner and too many presents. (Walkie-talkies, legos, art supplies, transformers, Mario-galaxy and one of those cool bouncy balls that you sit on and hop. I loved those as a kid.) Thank you everyone. You are definately too good to us. I am certainly glad that the cute little boy feels loved. Monday-Jazz game with Dad. He had such a fun time and David said he never quit talking, which isn't exactly a surprise. At one point the lady sitting in front of them turned around and told David that she thought Truman should look into a career as a sports announcer. He had ice cream with fruity pebbles, (does that sound good?) and he came home with a #8 Deron Williams jersey. Today was spent playing with Isaac, going to lunch with Dad, Mom and Lucy and some more playing with Isaac. Several times at lunch he repeated "I'm in charge today, right dad?' So finally this afternoon we were beginning to fall apart. The excitment of the last several days began to take its toll and I'm beginning to wonder if he really needs a friend birthday party, which is scheduled for a few weeks down the road when we have a little bit better weather. Oh well, I guess you only turn five once.

Go A's!

Isn't baseball exciting!

Today we signed the boys up to play baseball. They will both be on the same team with their cousin Jackson. I can't imagine having to go to two different games. At least not yet.Last year was hilarious! Here are a couple of my favorites.

Is anyone there?

Hey everyone! I'm not sure who everyone is because anyone who knows me would never believe that I have a blog, so I am probably talking to myself. Luckily I quite enjoy my own company. One of the reasons I want to have a blog is so that I can keep a better record and story of my family. It has never been one of my strengths but it's never too late to change right?

I am busy being a stay at home mom of three beautiful, active children. Many times I don't know what I am doing but I feel so lucky to have such a great family. Everyone knows that it wasn't easy for us to get to this point.

Other things I enjoy doing are sewing, reading, gardening, decorating my home and cleaning. (Yes, I actually like cleaning, except for dusting and laundry.) I am really glad that I like to clean because it sure seems like we get to do alot of it.

Now I am going to try and figure out how to post a picture. I know you are laughing at me but it is not easy for me. (Remember there is probably something that I can do that you can't.)
