Birthday Round #2

Mom and Dad with Lucy
My first attempt at decorating with fondant.
Lucy with her new stuffed animal.
Can't you just tell how much they like each other?
Lemon Cake is YUMMY!

Lucy's 1st Birthday is officially over now. She had a great weekend of family parties. She didn't really know what was going on but she kind of liked the presents and singing happy birthday. She also quite liked her cake. The Larsen Clan was all here, minus Michael, they are an easy group to have because everyone is very helpful and there isn't much stress. I guess they all know me pretty well and I don't worry. (This might be a bad thing, I really wasn't ready when the party time came. Luckily, Kathy the whirlwind came in and saved the party.) After Lucy opened her presents Grandpa wanted to line them all up and see which one she liked best. He is hilarious! Luckily for everyone she picked one that he brought. Lucy has a little dog that she loves and her Grandpa bought her a new stuffed animal and he wants her to love it the best. We'll have to wait and see Dad. All the Stohl birthdays are over for the year and it will be a good break. They are fun but its a good thing they only come around once a year.

Happy Birthday Lucy!

Lucy has just finished having some yummy chocolate icecream. She is a true Stohl!

Opening her presents. She really looked around when everyone started singing to her.

Playing with her cousin, Adam.

All tired out, after birthday party #1. Tomorrow is take #2.

I can not believe that my little baby has turned one. It goes by way too fast. Lucy is a doll. She has a very pleasant disposition and has been quite an easy baby. Our whole family has adored her. Every morning the boys come in and they fight a little bit over who gets to lay by her. If she is still in her crib they go into her room before coming in to see me. They are both great brothers and are getting to be big helpers. Lucy loves her brothers too. If they are playing downstairs she will go to the top of the stairs and jabber down to them, she wants them to come and get her to come play too. She loves to be in the toy room with them crawling around and just being by them. Lucy is eating more regular foods and liking it. She also started on regular milk this past week. She loves to crawl around and she still scoots army style when in a hurry. She is pulling herself up on everything and tipped the barstool on top of her last week. She also started crawling up a few stairs and unrolling the toilet paper. The super busy stage is just around the corner with her. We love her so much and I count her as one of my best blessings. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Father's Day

This morning Lucy was the first one up and I got her a bottle and brought her in to our bed. (Isn't that the best.) She drank her bottle and then decided that it was time to play. She crawled over to her dad and started to tease him. She was saying dadada and then she would stick her fingers into his mouth and he would softly bite them. She was laughing and having a great time and then she all of the sudden she started to wail. David had chomped her finger, not hard, but she was so dramatic and she was scolding him. It was hilarious. Lucy really loves her daddy and she totally has him wrapped around her finger. It is always so fun to see her reaction to him when he gets home from work. She just lights up. I have often thought that the best part about working would be coming home and getting to be the hero. Everyone is so glad to see you. The boys also love to be around their dad. They mimic him in the things they like to do. They both love to play golf in the field by our house and can't wait until they are old enough to go to the golf course with him. They love to visit him at work and they can't wait for Friday because they know, dad is home on the weekends. Mowing the lawn and running to the bank are their favorite jobs. They also love to get treats with their dad. Favorite spots are Jardines, Parson's Bakery and the Ice Cream Factory, aka Nelson's Frozen Custard. David-our children are very lucky to have you for a father. They love you very much and so do I. We hope you have a great day.

Baseball

We were the Orioles this year in baseball.
Jack #8, Truman #6, Isaac #12.

Dog pile!

Truman getting ready to bat.

Lucy the cutest cheerleader.
Maybe we should be in gymnastics?

Nice hit, Isaac!
Run fast!
Truey, there is no crying in baseball.
Daniel, the cutie pie.
We had a great baseball season. Our spring nights were very busy with both baseball and soccer. We had a few weeks where we had three games a week. Luckily my boys play on the same teams. I hope that you enjoy being teammates and that you will always be best friends. You are sure lucky to have each other.

Kindergarten Graduation

Isaac receiving his kindergarten diploma.

Isaac & Glory

Mrs. Lund & Isaac

Isaac graduated from Kindergarten last week. They had a fun graduation ceremony and called every ones names. Each child told what they wanted to be when they grow up. Isaac got shy and had Mrs. Lund tell everyone that he wanted to be a basketball player. Grandpa, Mom, Truman and Lucy attended graduation. (Dad was on his golf trip to Pinehurst.) Isaac has really enjoyed school. He told me that he was sad to be leaving Mrs. Lund and all his classmates. He said they were splitting them up. He received his report card, which had perfect marks and his first grade teacher assignment. We were very excited to get Miss Tiffany, she was his preschool teacher for two years and he loved her. First grade here we come.

Isaac's Mini Golf Birthday

We had 12 mini golfers! (Aren't they adorable.)

Isaac's birthday cupcakes. Can you tell what they are?

We had the backyard nine.

We had a really fun birthday party for Isaac's 6th birthday. I saw the cutest idea in Martha Stewart Kids. Everyone thought I was crazy, (mostly David) but I didn't do any birthday parties last year and I think the kids will only be excited about this kind of a party for a couple of years. A few days of hard work and they had the greatest time. It was a tiny bit cold because the wind was blowing but we had a fun time. Thanks to all the cute kids for coming. We are glad to have such nice friends.
